Announcing New JRepository Modules and Future WebEx Demonstration Dates
ACS MIDAS+ announces the immediate availability of two significant new additions to its MIDAS+ JRepository® product: Emergency Preparedness module and Competency Management module.
MIDAS+ is also pleased to announce the availability of MIDAS+ CRepository, a full CMS-focused accreditation readiness solution.
Newly released CRepository brings the full power of the proven JRepository Joint Commission Accreditation Preparedness solution to the accreditation requirements of CMS. CRepository is a Web-based application that supports the collaboration, communication, assessment, and document management tasks associated with the labor-intensive processes that must be followed to ensure a continuous state of readiness for a CMS accreditation survey. For hospitals that have facilities that are half TJC and half CMS accredited, CRepository now provides one tool to manage both types of accreditation. As an added benefit, there will be a cross-walk between CMS and TJC available in a future release.
The JRepository and CRepository Emergency Preparedness module completely prepares your hospital for the “mandatory 3 hour Emergency Preparedness tracer process” that will occur with your next Joint Commission unannounced survey. The Emergency Preparedness solution has management policies, forms, and logs, with the most up-to-date Emergency Preparedness protocols. It includes the Hazard Vulnerability Analysis, auto-generates corrective action plans and tracers to determine staff preparedness, and incorporates templates for conducting drills and defining rolls and responsibilities. It also has Emergency Preparedness Alerts with email, phone, and pager notification and will send documents to key personnel with the push of a button.
From the Emergency Preparedness home screen your hospital can manage your Educational plan with an in-depth explanation of Emergency Preparedness processes.
The JRepository and CRepository Competency module provides for a centralized competency repository and allows you to manage competency requirements at the unit, department and staff member level without the need to rely on the records kept in the Human Resources office. The Competency module stores verification evidence related to individual staff members and also maintains a historical competency database for staff members. In addition to providing over 160 pre-built competency templates the module allows you to customize your own hospital’s competency requirements. With the ability to search and filter the competency information as well as providing access to reporting options throughout the module, the JRepository Competency module is a valuable addition for managing your hospital to Joint Commission standards.
The inclusion of MIDAS+ JRepository modules (Assessments, Tracers, Corrective Action Plans, Events, Emergency Preparedness, Competency Reporting, Resource Library, Content Vault and Executive Dashboard) with the other applications in the MIDAS+ family of products results in a powerful solution that will greatly benefit the accreditation process in the healthcare environment and greatly enhance the Quality and Performance Improvement metrics necessary to provide effective patient care and sustainable outcomes. The combination of the products will take healthcare organizations past redundant assessments and into a proactive and data-driven validation of compliance.

"We implemented the MIDAS+ Comparative Data Base several years ago and at that time we were impressed with the timeliness and comparative data made available to us without allocating additional resources for data collection -- moving to DataVision was our next logical step. We have found DataVision to be the 'next generation' of data management, providing us with concurrent comparative benchmark data as well as fulfilling our regulatory requirements. DataVision is not only our Core Measure solution but also monitors our facility performance for Leap Frog comparison and the AHRQ patient safety indicators. Our case managers find DataVision very easy to navigate and now with DataVision they not only have our facility data at their fingertips but they also have immediate on-line access to comparative data. The data analysis and drilldown capabilities within DataVision are awesome!"
